Lift using your leg muscles rather than straining your back or pulling with your arms. As always, consult a professional guide before attempting to move someone in or out of a wheelchair.
What is a freight elevator?
Similar to a service lift, a freight elevator is designed to carry heavy-duty payloads. They can hold an average of 4,000 to 15,000 lbs., depending on your needs and available space.
How much does it cost to maintain an elevator?

You will have to check with the team at Carson Elevator LLC as some elevators can while others cannot. The general rule of thumb for space is needing 36’x48’ to accommodate a wheelchair in the car.
What is the weight capacity on a residential elevator?
Typically, most vertical wheelchair lifts are rated for 750 lbs.
What is the difference between a residential elevator and a commercial passenger elevator?
Your home elevator has limited use and application, carrying less, taking up less space, and being more affordable when compared to a commercial elevator. We mostly install roped hydraulic elevators for residential needs.
How high can a residential vertical wheelchair lift travel?
On average, they can travel a maximum distance of 72” or six feet. There are taller applications that use a vertical platform lift. These can travel up to 14’ while incline wheelchair platform lifts can travel up to 40’.
